Our Services

The Book Musketeers provides publishing and creative services that may include, but are not limited to, ghostwriting, book editing, proofreading, book cover design, interior formatting, publishing assistance, audiobook-related services, author branding, and book marketing.

The exact scope, deliverables, timeline, revision allowance, and pricing applicable to a project may vary depending on the service package selected and the requirements agreed upon between the customer and The Book Musketeers.

It is your responsibility to carefully review these Terms and Conditions, the applicable service description, and our refund provisions before submitting an order or payment.

Returns

Due to the customized and service-based nature of the work we provide, we generally do not accept returns on completed or fulfilled digital or creative-service orders.

Where changes are reasonably required to ensure that agreed quality standards, editing requirements, proofreading requirements, design specifications, or documented project instructions have been met, our revision process is available in accordance with the applicable package and scope of work.

If a delivered product does not reasonably conform to the documented requirements agreed upon at the time the order was placed, we may conduct an internal review and, where appropriate, revise, correct, or recreate the affected work without additional charge.

Revisions

Each service or package may have its own revision policy as described in the applicable service agreement, order confirmation, proposal, invoice, or package description.

Where revisions are included, revision requests should generally be submitted during the review or customer-approval stage of the project. Depending on the scope and complexity of the requested changes, revisions may normally require approximately 5 to 10 business days or another period communicated by the project team.

Revision requests should relate to the original documented project requirements. Requests that materially change the original brief, introduce new requirements, alter the agreed scope, or require substantial additional work may be treated as additional services and may be subject to additional charges.

Customers may submit revision requests to their assigned Project Manager or by contacting:

lead@thebookmusketeers.com

Where editable files are supplied, customers may also make their own changes after final delivery, subject to the applicable ownership, licensing, and payment terms of the project.

Refund Policy

Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Our team will make reasonable efforts to understand and resolve any genuine service concerns before determining whether a refund, revision, service credit, or other resolution is appropriate.

Refunds may be considered in exceptional circumstances, including situations where an order has not yet been allocated, initiated, or substantially worked upon at the time a valid refund request is received.

Where a refund is approved, it may take approximately 5 to 15 business days to appear through the original payment method, depending on the payment provider or financial institution.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, an administrative and processing fee of USD $250 or 5% of the applicable order amount, whichever is higher, may be deducted from an approved refund where permitted by applicable law.

Refunds will normally be issued only through the original payment method used for the transaction. Confirmation of an approved refund may be sent to the email address associated with the order.

Change of Mind

A. Prior to Project Initiation

Where the project has not yet been initiated or allocated for production, the customer may be eligible for a full refund, subject to the circumstances of the order and applicable processing terms.

Where a customer wishes to cancel solely because of a change of mind, we strongly recommend submitting the cancellation request within one (1) hour of placing the order.

B. After Project Initiation

Once work has begun, a partial refund may be requested within ten (10) days of project initiation. Any refund will be considered based on the amount of work already completed, resources allocated, third-party costs incurred, and other relevant project expenses.

Once the customer has approved completed work or authorized the project to proceed beyond the applicable approval stage, a refund will generally not be issued solely on the basis of a subsequent change of mind.

Non-Conforming or Unsatisfactory Delivery

If you believe that delivered work does not comply with the original documented project requirements, you should notify us promptly and allow us a reasonable opportunity to investigate and correct the issue.

Before a refund is considered on the basis of delivery quality, the customer may be required to make reasonable use of the available revision and correction process.

  • The delivered work must be assessed against the requirements documented and agreed at the time the order was placed.
  • We may revise, reassign, edit, correct, or recreate relevant portions of the work where reasonably necessary to meet the agreed requirements.
  • Where appropriate and mutually agreed, we may offer service credits or reserve equivalent-value services for future use.
  • If, after reasonable attempts to correct the work, the delivery remains materially inconsistent with the agreed requirements, the parties may mutually agree upon an appropriate partial refund or other resolution.

Late Delivery

The Book Musketeers aims to deliver projects within the timelines communicated to customers. However, delivery dates may depend on the customer's timely provision of information, approvals, feedback, manuscript materials, payments, and other project requirements.

If a project is materially delayed solely due to circumstances within our reasonable control, the customer should first contact us and provide a reasonable opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.

Where appropriate, a refund or other remedy may be considered after reviewing documentary evidence relating to the delay, the agreed timeline, customer cooperation, and work already completed.

Refund Request Time Frame

Unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly agreed in writing, refund requests relating to a delivered service should be submitted within 10 days of the first submission or delivery.

A refund request may be affected where extensive revisions have already been requested, approved, or completed.

Customers are responsible for reviewing applicable refund deadlines and service conditions when placing an order.

Cases Where Refunds May Not Be Issued

Subject to applicable law and the specific circumstances of each order, refunds may not be available in circumstances including:

  • Minor technical, grammatical, typographical, formatting, word-count, or reference-related issues that can reasonably be corrected through revisions.
  • Delays caused by the customer, including delayed feedback, approvals, payments, information, files, or project materials.
  • Work already completed, approved, delivered, or substantially performed in accordance with the agreed project requirements.
  • Third-party or non-recoverable expenses already incurred on behalf of the customer.
  • Printing services or physical production that has already entered production.
  • LCCN-related services or other registration services once an application, submission, or associated third-party process has been initiated.
  • Author events or event-related services for which bookings, reservations, advertising placements, vendors, or other non-refundable costs have already been committed.
  • Marketing services or campaigns that have already been initiated, placed, purchased, scheduled, or performed.
  • A claim based solely on low word count where the delivered work otherwise satisfies the scope, specifications, or requirements agreed for the particular service.

Modifications to Services and Prices

Prices, packages, promotions, and discounts for our services may change from time to time without prior notice.

The Book Musketeers reserves the right to modify, update, suspend, replace, or discontinue any service, package, feature, promotional offer, or part of our website where reasonably necessary.

Changes to publicly advertised pricing will not normally alter the price of a previously confirmed and paid order unless the customer subsequently requests additional services or a material change in scope.

Service Discontinuation

If a customer voluntarily cancels a project after services have commenced, any refund eligibility will be determined according to the work already completed, resources committed, costs incurred, applicable refund provisions, and the circumstances of the cancellation.

The Book Musketeers may suspend or terminate services where a customer materially breaches these Terms and Conditions, engages in unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, threatening, or inappropriate conduct, fails to make agreed payments, or otherwise materially interferes with the provision of services.

Where services are terminated because of a customer's material breach, the customer may not be eligible for a refund for work already completed, resources already committed, or non-recoverable expenses, subject to applicable law.

Customer Materials and Intellectual Property

Customers are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights, permissions, licenses, or authority to provide any manuscript, text, image, illustration, photograph, trademark, logo, artwork, or other material submitted to The Book Musketeers for use in a project.

The Book Musketeers may rely on the customer's representation that submitted materials can lawfully be used for the requested project.

Ownership or usage rights relating to final deliverables will be governed by the applicable service agreement, order terms, and full payment of amounts due.

Third-Party Platforms and Services

Some publishing, distribution, printing, advertising, payment, registration, marketing, or promotional services may involve third-party platforms or providers.

The Book Musketeers does not control third-party platforms and cannot guarantee their approval decisions, processing times, algorithmic performance, account actions, policy changes, sales results, advertising outcomes, rankings, or availability.

Marketing and Publishing Results

Marketing, publishing, advertising, publicity, and promotional services are intended to improve exposure and support the customer's objectives. However, specific commercial outcomes cannot be guaranteed unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement.

The Book Musketeers does not guarantee any particular level of book sales, revenue, bestseller ranking, reviews, media coverage, audience growth, publishing-platform ranking, or return on advertising spend.
